Immersive Learning Center
It is no secret that the education system in far too many communities are failing our kids. You don't have to look far to find:
Poor test scores & fading student engagement
Lack of relevant & innovative technology
Graduates not prepared for the workforce
Growing number of remedial college courses
Widening of the digital divide
Immersive Learning Center is a 21st century non profit organization that exist to support the education and business community. We help students of all ages achieve their academic goals as well as gain new skills that ready them for the 21st century workforce or entrepreneurship.
We are a resource for all interested in active learning. K-12 students, school districts, private, charter, home school communities and adults in need of additional STEAM resources are always welcome at Immersive Learning Center.
Immersive Learning Center is organized to provide academic support and academic enrichment. We offer tutoring, workshops and classes in our academic support program and a variety of STEAM activities in our enrichment program. K-12 students as well as adults will find Immersive Learning Center invaluable to keeping them informed, engaged and ready for the 21st Century.
We want to help build better communities and are committed to bringing together all members in unity to aid our struggling education system and help those looking to elevate their skills.
This has to be a community effort. We all must roll up our sleeves for change. If you're ready to make a change, bring your enthusiasm, ideas, skills and knowledge to Immersive Learning Center and let's move this conversation to action. We are always in need of volunteers, mentors and supporters.

Why we do what we do
We do it because we must. We do it because we care. We do it because schools can't do it alone. We do it because it's the right thing to do. We do it because the future of our communities hang in the balance.
In a technology based economy, businesses need fewer employees and those fortunate enough to be hired possess 21st century skills. Even entrepreneurs operating in micro economies will need 21st century skills to navigate the new horizon.
Communication, Collaboration, Creativity and Critical Thinking skills are required in the 21st century.

ILC's Underlining Principles
1. "If a child can't learn the way we teach, we should teach the way they learn."
2. We must reach students where they are.
3. People believe more in knowledge discovered themselves than in knowledge presented by others.
4. Learning is more effective when it is an active rather than a passive process.
5. Changes in perception of oneself and one’s social environment are necessary before changes in actions, thoughts, attitudes and behavior take place.
6. The more supportive, accepting and caring the social environment, the freer we are to experiment with new behaviors, attitudes, actions and thoughts.
